Sea Peoples Sea Peoples is the name that archaeologists and historians have given to a group of ancient peoples who migrated through the Mediterranean Sea and attacked kingdoms that were located east of the Mediterranean basin, as well as Egypt during the rule of the nineteenth and twentieth dynasties, and the Hittites in Anatolia | The attacks of Sea Peoples led to the downfall of the Hittite Empire and the weakening of the Pharaonic Kingdom of Egypt for a long time, in addition to the destruction of many populated eastern Mediterranean cities such as Ugarit |

They are supposed to have sailed around the eastern Mediterranean Sea and invaded Anatolia, Syria, Phoenicia, Canaan, Cyprus and Egypt toward the end of the Bronze Age as they were the main cause of the Bronze Age collapse which was the transition period between the late Bronze Age and the beginning of the early Iron Age |
Current theories state that they were tribes from the Aegean, invaders from Central Europe, and dispersed soldiers who turned piracy or became refugees.
